Chris Connors first recorded it with Stan Kenton in '53, and later with a small group.
They're both terrific, but I still remember the heavyweight Kenton brass with a lot of affection.
I must get hold of a copy. Great song!
 
Sorry there's no prize Flamingoer, but you are quite right. I heard Ronnie Scott play this one then came across the original version, i think I'd better get rid of the strings on the next tune as they don't seem to popular>:).

I can't recall having heard this tune before so thank you. I like the backing with the strings, didn't Nelson Riddle always use them? I think most of Michael Buble's arrangements have them too. Personal tasteI suppose. Nice playing as always Chris.
