Does anyone have thoughts about the relative merits of the syllabuses (syllabi?).
I'm not really interested in exams/qualifications, but find the structure of a well thought out syllabus helpful in guiding my learning/studying
I've been using ABRSM level 1 & 2 books & CD, and the great advantage seems to be that you can buy just one book/CD for the pieces in each grade, whereas for the Trinity stuff you'd have to buy tons of books to get all the pieces to try out...
On the other hand the Trinity stuff looks interesting, a bit different in that you get to play solo etudes/exercises, and longer non-improvised pieces too..
