A mate of mine told me to watch the clip of this young man singing his version of the great Etta James hit 'At last' on x factor, got home from work 1hr ago and have watched it 5 times now.... he is amazing :)

I love the expression of Nicole and the guy in the audience when he hits the first few notes

I just hope they don't ruin his style and turn him into a pop star, in fact i'd go further and hope he doesn't win so he can be true to his style.

Ooops forgot to add the clip... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-xndZZjM4A

X factor is something I'd never watch, but this was certainly worthwhile. I remember seeing Etta James doing this back in LA (a few decades ago). Very retro, but very good.

Hi Trimmy great. Unfortunately one can see the £s and P. clicking up in their cash till eyes. Great voice but wait till the makeover guys and gals get their hands on him. I normally do not do this and indeed do not watch the show but I`m willing to bet the X Factor audience will very quickly relegate him to the ranks of the "nice voice brigade but he`s not cool." If you asked the majority of the x factor audiance who Etta James was (I think she passed away this year.) They would reply sounds like somebody`s aunty from Wigan. Unless of course they are Fio Rida fans. Regds N.

Agree with you N, which is why i'm hoping he doesn't fit the 'pop idol' look and doesn't win the competition, then another label will sign him up and keep him true to his style but sadly i can't see that happening.

The great british public have a habit of voting for the 'uncool' :))).
I think when this guy does an album his voice will sell it.

WOW! What a voice of gold! Shame they have to go to the extent of appearing on a rubbish over commercialised over hyped non-tainmeant program together noticed.
