You may or may not know that there is a Film Orchestra, originally formed in Worcester in 2013, but slowly spreading in all directions across the UK!

On Saturday, I performed with TFO Big Band at Great Witley Church.

The church is Britain's finest Baroque church. It is a beautifully ornate, heavily guilded church: Great Witley Parish Church | Britain's Finest Baroque Church and they have a monthly concert programme.

This was the first time that they had any Jazz in their programme, usually it is Baroque music, or at the very least, Classical music.

Here is a little snippet of "I'm In the Mood for love" perfomed by the Big Band.

This was me at my stillest best - 64 bars of off-beat quavers take some playing, and to have remained this still was an impressive feat!

That's me on Bari, front row seated, left-hand side (as you look at the screen)

Respect. No way could I manage 64 bars of off-beat quavers. They would have migrated to on-beat long before then.

The middle section of The Dam Busters is nearly as bad for that on tenor

Thank you - it took me ages to crack "swing" and then to crack syncopation.
It was easier sitting in front of the piano, as she had the on-beat.
Also, if I feel I am drifting, I drop the bar, feel the beat anew, and start again in the next bar.

And then there are the charts where the arranger decides he wants part to swing and part to be straight 8ths
