Hey @Colin the Bear I understand the "fighting the horn" bit, but can you explain what you meant by "written in Eb"?
I'm playing it in Eb on an Eb horn. Just trying to understand what I missed? Besides a few notes, that is.

Sounds like you're fighting your horn on this one. Being written in Eb this tune suits Eb saxes more than Bb imo. Maybe try it in Bb on sop.

I know this BOTM goes back a long way, but we have just added this number to our setlist in a workshop band I play in. I've upped the pitch of my original backing track to concert Eb which is the original key. It's fallen to me to play it on alto (YAS62 MkI D'Addario jazz select MP). Lots of OTT reverb but that's how we want it to sound. Sorry if it's not your cup of tea. Regards Al
