Hi I'm a relatively new brass and woodwind repairer (5 yrs!) returning to sax playing. I started tenor about 10 yrs ago and switched to brass about 5yrs ago. Due to my work decided I need to pick up sax again so starting out on alto. This time I'd like to advance past the beginner stage (grade 3/4) but I have to share my practice time with trombone my other instrument. I am very impressed with the amount of encouragement and advice on the forum for beginners and hope it will keep me motivated this time round!

    Hi Kimsey!

A Big Welcome to Cafe Sax from the Skabertawe Alto Sax & Trombone Jazz Quintet, down by yer in Wales, mind. Several of us, including myself, play the trombone to various degrees, so you should be at home here. What music do you like playing on either instrument? Anyway fire away with any questions and I look forward to keeping up with your progress!

    Kind regards
    Tom

Sounds familiar as I started tenor for a few years and then had a 2 year break and have only just picked the Tenor back up... Good luck and welcome.
