    short log in time

Not sure if this has been mentioned or covered by others. When logged in and writing a reply or post it seems that if you take more than a few minutes you need to re-log in. I understand the need for this type of thing when dealing with a bank, but what's up with a saxophone site? It is irritating and seems unnecessary.

Otherwise, no complaints and all seems good. Can we get this fixed/cancelled?

    Thanks.

You're probably missing the little remember me box underneath your user name.

Nope. I use it and it doesn't make any difference. Why would a site that does not have a security risk/profile have any mechanism that cuts people off with or without a "remember me" tick box?

I doubt that it's my computer as I don't have this problem with any other site except banks, and that's for good reason.

I do not experience such problems. I'm logged in all the time.
I'm venturing into the realm of guessing: It might be that you have set the security to not allow cookies.

    Re: short log in time

I've never had a problem - never been booted off or logged out.
And I never log in either.... I'm always here
I used Firefox 10 on Windows 7 or Windows XP (depending on which machine I'm using)

    I wonder what is different??

I've not had any problems either. This machine is Windows 7 and Firefox and used to be IE8 when I first started.

    Re: short log in time

Yep, I normally use 5 different machines for the site, depending on where I am. Mix of browsers (IE/Firefox) and OS's (XP, Win 7, Ubuntu), tapatalk and never get logged out.

Rudjarl's comment about cookies is worth investigating.

Another one along those lines: tune up/clean up routines like CCleaner delete cookies. THis will end up logging you out.

    I'll buzz Pete about this.
