    Re: BariBlog?

I bought my Bari about 6 weeks ago.

Currently I seem to be permanently attached to it, although I do not take it to bed!!

Friday I played it in my quartet for 2 hours; yesterday 1 hour in the sax choir, 2 hours in the wind band; tonight 2 hours in the sax choir; Thursday 2 hours in the Jazz band; Saturday and Sunday we have 2 x 2-hour gigs - one for the quartet one for the choir.

Sadly I am looking forward to the New Year, when I might be able to get back to my Alto, but I must admit to loving playing the Bari

I found that, not only does an alto feel like a toy after playing a bari but that you have so much more air! Bari playing is very good practice for breath support!

Will do man, will do. Thanks for your encouragement. Mandy, did you get your sling sorted? I am having similar problems, I just cannot use a harness. So, radio two, at some time today, Ce Lo Green in session. Man,this Guy has SOUL!! He also digs a Bari, a lot of low end " Spectoresque" grooves goin down. I am so lookin forward to this.Last night, i tried to make some sense of my music collection. I replaced one of my I Pods, with an mp3 walkman, for c.d.s. I am leaving my Dylan collection on the pod, leaving about 50 gb. This is for my Bari stuff. Carney, Cuber, Adams, Ross etc. Life is GOOD!! Have a great day. Bud. xx
