How you can help support the forum
(1) Buy something:
From the CafeSaxophone shop or from the store on www.petethomas.co.uk
(2) Become a CafeSaxophone forum subscriber:
Once you are registered on the forum, use the Paid Subscriptions link in your User Control Panel. You can choose a variety of amounts to subscribe, it is up to what you can afford. All subscribers get extra benefits, currently you will get more private message space and access to a free download area but there will be some more benefits coming soon. Of course, you also get the lovely warm feeling of knowing you are helping the charity fund.
(3) Become a CafeSaxophone Champion
Submit an article for publishing on CafeSaxophone. You don’t need to be an expert, just have something to say about saxophones, saxophone playing and saxophonists.
(4) just make a donation:
Proceeds raised from fundraising sales and donations go to charity. The charities that these proceeds go to will change from time to time and I will keep that information up to date on this page.
CAFE SAXOPHONE FUNDRAISING
STOP PRESS: Money collected in January is going to help victims of the Haiti earthquake.
For 2009 we are looking at a new project and are now raising funds for Band On The Wall, specifically the Gorton Education Village project. This aims to help with music education for children with special needs with an emphasis on how disabled and non-disabled musicians can work together in music and dance, as well as audio-visual production work and the creation of a Steel Band Academy.

Other Charities
From time to time funds are allocated to other charities - especially when urgent money is required. Funds collected during May and June 2008 have been allocated to help the victims of the Burma Cyclone. In Decemeber 2009 we have donated to the PRS Benevolent Cyril Wood Court project fund to help

Leukaemiabusters
I wish to thank all of you who have supported this fundraising through purchases, downloads, donations and advertising. I recently visited the Leukaemia Busters research facility at Park Gate (see pics) and was able to see at first hand the valuable work that is being carried out. Leukaemia Busters are concentrating on a revolutionary new cure focussing on antibody treatments which are much kinder and safer than the current methods (chemotherapy). The (almost) £8000 raised so far for Leukaemia Busters has enabled them to purchase a Flow Cytometer.
