Sorry can't get it to load, some work, some don't.
Can anybody help?
My link is different (probably a differnt clip?!)
Thank's sooo much c9off, i tried all the link's and none of them worked. I had trouble in the past some go straight on, others nothing. I must be doing something wrong but i don't know what! I hate computers. Thank's again.
Great song! "Tune Up" was the flip side of "Do The Boomerang" and reached Billboard single #10 R&B/#36 Pop in 1965 ("Do The Boomerang"). Nice B3 on "Tune Up". The organ and keyboard bass player in All Stars Band was Victor Thomas. I think it's Thomas who is playing organ and basspedal on the flip side!?
I listen a lot to Jr Walker and The All Stars. But I don't play so many songs from Jr Walkers "song lists". Hard to play and without the altissimo tones and flutter tones the songs becomes flat and boring. But they are players that are playing very good in playing in the style of Jr Walker. I use to play "Cleo's Mood" and "Satan's Blues", in my own way!!!!
How are you my friend? Your right about the B3 sounds great, all of Junior's keyboard men have been great players, much better than King Curtis's players. Many years ago i played a B3 & C3, best organs on the planet especialy with Leslie Speaker's. Give me a good Guitarist, good Drummer, good Bass, B3, and a good Tenor, and you've got a sound made in Heaven.
What's so amazing is the extraordinary physicality of the dancers!
You have good taste! I would like to add an acustic piano as well. Yes, the B3+Leslie cabinette is cool.
The original of the vid is from hellzapoppin - Slim Gaillard and Slam Stewart - well worth a look.
Nice one Dave, nice to see the original, awesome dancer's. Still prefer Jrs music though.
Me too although Slim and Slam's "Who put the benzedrine in Mrs Murphys ovaltine?" is a fine tune.
Love the dancing - just though it should go with original music altho apparently it was 1st gonna be Jumping at the Woodside.
